Temple running

Click here to read this post in normal text
You are a world famous explorer. You have been searching a temple in a far away land when they start chasing you. Monkey like creatures with skull like heads viciously chase you out of the temple and onto the crumpling walkway above the water, greatly overrun by tree roots. If you can't time the jump just right to get over the large broken chunks of walk, if you can't time the sharp turns just quickly, if you can’t avoid tree trunks, if you can't slid under statues spitting fire, or if you can't keep your pace and the monkeys catch you than you are doomed to end your temple running adventure.

This is what the awesome free app temple run is all about. This fast paced app is great for anyone big or small, young or old. Power ups will help you along the way to boost your speed or even cheat death. I say that everyone with a ios device should download this for free! Also you can post your high-score in the comments tab below to see if your the best temple-runner in the world.

Poping out of thin air!

Fencer6 back again with a review of the 3DS. You can watch the review or read it!

Ever heard of the 3DS, the first handheld 3D video game? Because trust me, it's awesome! You and other gamers can play with 3D graffics, and you can get tons of cool apps. The 3DS will be popping in and out of stock in game stores.

On the 3DS, you can connect to real people. You can connect to the internet and play with anyone in the world, or use street-pass or DS download play. Street pass is where you play with people that have a 3Ds and are close by. DS download play is a little different, because you have to stay close to somebody and share a game.

What's the big difference between 3DS and DS, you ask? You guessed it, it's 3D! The amazing 3D graphics make it look like things are popping out of thin air. Back in ancient times when moms and dads were young, the coolest video games were only at arcades. Just wait until you're parents see the 3Ds! You can adjust how much 3D there is. It's amazing!

The 3DS can download lots of cool apps. Simply connect to the internet and go to eshop. You can look through a large selection of apps. A lot are free, but some cost a little bit of money. This system will blow you away! Grab your keys and go get yourself a 3DS today. Once you start you can't stop!

Sweet, juicy,...computers?

What company has computers, tablets, phones, MP3 players, iPods, and even TV's? Here's a hint, they're all named after fruit. If you said Apple, then you're correct. In my opinion they have the best MP3's, smart phones, and tablets available. no other companies can beat them when it comes to those. Honestly though, I don't think they have the best computers. The thing about their computers is that they just don't have seem user-friendly, like how it's really hard to find out how to do simple things like close the window, and a lot of times takes an extra steep to do should be easy things. But don't get me wrong, I LOVE apple. Their touch screen products are the best I've ever known! The things like Ipods Iphones and Ipads (tablets) are really user friendly. They have great picture, and even the smallest details have been mastered to perfection  Their voice control is super accurate and they always seem to have the best technology out there, like how all of their products are super skinny. As for TV's, well, this isn't a major thing for apple, it stinks and I have no idea how to use it. Their is another major reason for buying apple products. They all combined into like a whole house network. Ipods and Iphones can work as TV remotes with the apple TV and much of other features witch I'm not sure how to explain. I think apple is great, but it really depends on the product.

kindle

The new kindle fire
eBook reader
Fencer6 here with a blog talking about the kindle and ebooks overall. eBooks are definitely turning into more of a reality each day, beginning to leave books behind. I mean, who wants to carry around hundreds of books, when you can put them all in 6 ounces? And even if you don't have a kindle, you'd be surprised how many other devices you can put them on, like iPods, iPads, iPhones, and even your computer. Almost every author is putting their books into eBooks, with around 1,658,982 books, and the number is growing. In fact, many libraries are starting to have online ebook check outs.

Percy's back!

The Son of NeptunePercy’s been in months of slumber. Just like Jason from the last book, he's had his memory wiped by Juno (or Hera, whatever) and has been sent to another camp, camp Jupiter, a roman camp, to unite the Greeks and Romans.  He's also got new friends at his side, and he's going to need all the help he can get. They have been sent to unleash the god of death, Death, since without him the demigod’s enemies cannot die and just continue to re-form, although the demigod’s can’t say the same for themselves.     They also have to get past the newly re-born giants, eventually to try to defeat the evil earth goddess in later books who basically wants to destroy all human civilization, all within one week. That’s what the new book, The Son of Neptune is all about.

I love this book and I’m sure you will too. Rick Riordran. does a great job mixing the myths of old with modern technology. Such as saying the amazon warriors from Greece run Amazon, the online shopping service. He creates his own world of demigods such as Percy and monsters as if it’s right behind our backs. Its action packed and funny, and practically no moment is dull! They face a lot of challenges along the way like the giant born to kill Hades. The only problem is he’s immortal in his birthplace, Alaska.

Once you begin you can’t seem to stop reading, always wanting to know what happens next. I think this book is great and I recommend this to anyone who likes adventure, or who just likes a good story. Trust me, it’s a great book!
Click here to see the offical site, click here to get it for kindle, click here to get the normal hardcover book, click here to go to the Wikipedia page, or click here to read the first chapter for free. Plus, below I've added a video of Rick Riordran reading some of his book aloud  for you to see.

Rick Riordran

My PhotoHey everyone. Today I'm here to talk about one of my favorite authors, Rick Riordan, who has written about four different sires, with a total of 23 books! Most of his books (my favorite) are based off of mythology, Greek, Roman, and Egyptian. He finds great ways to mix the old myths with modern technology. I personally think his books are amazing, and I'm still reading them! Their great, and he releases them really fast. Overall, I think he's one of the best authors of the 21 century! I suggest his books for anyone who can read (which I guess you can)!
Click here to check out his website!
Hope you check out his books!

Skylanders

Fencer6 here with a review of the Skylanders video game. Depending on who you ask, some might say that this game is kind of old, since it has been out for almost a year. In fact, they've already came out with a sequel, Skylanders Giants, but it's still a great game. The big thing that makes it unlike most any other game is that your character is a figurine that you put on a stand, to activate it in the game. Even though it's been out for a while, I still think it's a great game. What you do is you go on "quests" and you try to find these, things to fix the "core of light" this thing that protects skylands (now that I think about it, it's kind of hard to explain) and you goal is to fix it to fend off the darkness, blah, blah, blah. I think that it's action packed and lots of fun. Plus, if you get in a really bad jam on a level, there are always more skylanders to collect to help you on some of the harder levels.
You can visit their site by clicking here.
You can also see the Wikipedia page on Skylanders by clicking here.
Hope you think it's cool!

Is the Wii U right for U?

Fencer6 here with a new post talking about the Wii U! This game system looks pretty cool with a screen built into the controller, and I think that spin will make it more fun when playing with other people, plus new features, like how if you lay the controller on the ground, then swing your arm, it registers your movement in the game. Even with these new features, I don't think I will buy it, because I already have a normal Wii, so I can’t play my old games on this new system, and I don't find enough quality in the new features to encourage me to buy it. Prices range quite a bit, because with this release there are 8g. to 32g. The lowest Gb. (8) per-orders for $300, and the max (32) costs $350, with Nintendo Land pre-downloaded.
It all looks pretty cool, but I still don't think I'll get it.
Hope you like it!

Behind the screen

Fencer6 here with a new post talking about what Google does with your work.

Here's what Google says:
"When you upload or otherwise submit content to our Services, you give Google (and those we work with) a worldwide license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works (such as those resulting from translations, adaptations or other changes we make so that your content works better with our Services), communicate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute such content. The rights you grant in this license are for the limited purpose of operating, promoting, and improving our Services, and to develop new ones. This license continues even if you stop using our Services (for example, for a business listing you have added to Google Maps). Some Services may offer you ways to access and remove content that has been provided to that Service. Also, in some of our Services, there are terms or settings that narrow the scope of our use of the content submitted in those Services. Make sure you have the necessary rights to grant us this license for any content that you submit to our Services."

It sounds like they can use your stuff for whatever they like for their company, so be careful what you post, like don't post a novel or anything you don't want them to use.
Feel free to share what you think

It's time for a beaver

Fencer6 here with a review of the sign of the beaver. Honestly, I think it's a pretty good book. The whole time you're just itching to know if Matt's father and family get back. The thing that I don't like about this book is that it does have a slower plot pace, but the anticipation of his family returning will cover most of the bad. I have to admit, though, it has a bit of a sad ending. Overall, I think if you have extra time on your hands, this is a book you might want to check out.
Hope you like it,

The Mark of Athena

The Mark of Athena  is the 3rd in The Heroes of Olympus series. It is being released on October 2nd 2012! Here's the description straight from Rick Riordan's website.

Coming Oct. 2, 2012.
Page count: 580

Annabeth is terrified. Just when she’s about to be reunited with Percy—after six months of being apart, thanks to Hera—it looks like Camp Jupiter is preparing for war. As Annabeth and her friends Jason, Piper, and Leo fly in on the Argo II, she can’t blame the Roman demigods for thinking the ship is a Greek weapon. With its steaming bronze dragon masthead, Leo’s fantastical creation doesn’t appear friendly. Annabeth hopes that the sight of their praetor Jason on deck will reassure the Romans that the visitors from Camp Half-Blood are coming in peace.

And that’s only one of her worries. In her pocket Annabeth carries a gift from her mother that came with an unnerving demand: Follow the Mark of Athena. Avenge me. Annabeth already feels weighed down by the prophecy that will send seven demigods on a quest to find—and close— the Doors of Death. What more does Athena want from her?
Annabeth’s biggest fear, though, is that Percy might have changed. What if he’s now attached to Roman ways? Does he still need his old friends? As the daughter of the goddess of war and wisdom, Annabeth knows she was born to be a leader, but never again does she want to be without Seaweed Brain by her side.
Narrated by four different demigods, The Mark of Athenais an unforgettable journey across land and sea to Rome, where important discoveries, surprising sacrifices, and unspeakable horrors await. Climb aboard the Argo II, if you dare. . . .

Click here to pre-order The Mark of Athena hard-back or click here to get the book for kindle. Don't have a kindle and can't wait? Click here
to go ahead and read the first chapter!
Hope you like the book!

McDonald's: healthy or deceptive

Fencer6 here. Today I want to talk about how McDonald's has been advertising. They try to show there food as a healthy lunch for kids of all ages. I believe this sort of advertising is dishonest and deceptive. It all started when they decided to put apples in every happy meal in addition to a choice of milk or other drink. Milk and apples are healthy, but McDonald's is pushing limits because you get a unhealthy pack of chicken or hamburger and fries. Not to mention many kids also chose a soda or other unhealthy drink instead of milk. My point is, even though it's okay from time to time, it's not as healthy as it has been advertised. McDonald's should step it down a notch when it comes to there ads.

Hey every one. Fencer6 here. Today I'm here to talk about wizard101.
Wizard 101 is an online game where you play as a wizard, training and
learning new and more powerful spells, to defeat the most powerful
sorcerer, malistaire. The game is quite fun with the 7 seven main schools
of sorcery, fire, ice, life, death, storm, myth, and balance. Overall I think it's
a pretty fun game. You can play it for free at wizard101.com, but be warned,
you can't do much until you pay for new areas and worlds.
Check out the video below to see what it's like.

The Battle of the Labyrinth

The Battle of the Labyrinth is the fourth in the Percy Jackson series. This fouth book is defiantly a great addition to the series. I don't want to spoil anything, but this action action packed novel includes a battle between Kronos' army and the half-bloods at camp. It also includes, well, let's just say you might not want to be a half-blood right now. And it also has, well, something, ah, new about Luke. Well Lukeish...its hard to explain. I guess you'll just have to read the book to find out!

The 39 Clue Blues

Fencer6 here with a review of the 39 clues. The 39 clues is a sieres about differnt clans that are after a huge treasure. I don't really like this sieres because it dosen't have enough action it it. I have to say, though, it is better than Alex Rider. If you like mystories I think you would like this seires, but if you like action like me, this might not be your kind of seires.

The Koolest Chronicles!

Fencer6 here with a review of the Kane Chronicles, by Rick Riordan. The books are based on Egyptian gods. There are currently 2 real books out there, plus one thing, sort of, like an activity book. The next in the series,The Serpents Shadow, is coming out on May 1,2012! The books are about Carter and Sadie Kane, who are trying to save the world from the most evil monster in Egyptian history!

If you like battles, monsters, mythology or having lots of accelerated reader points, then I would recommend this to you! If you don't like thick books though, this might not be your thing. To visit The Kane Chronicles web site Click here or  click here  to go to  Rick Riordan's website.
